New Market Hall

Find us on the gallery floor in the new indoor market hall, which is situated between Claremont Street, Bellstone and Shoplatch towards the bottom of the town. The address is:

It has a taxi rank on Claremont Street and bus stops, including the very popular Park and Ride, which serves all three sites, on Shoplatch right outside the market hall.

There are two entrances, at Bellstone, with stairs and lifts to the first floor and second floor gallery level. There are toilets at this level.

The second entrance is in the middle of the market hall, this has stairs and lifts to the first floor.
The market is a very vibrant place with many different types of shops, stalls and cafes. Goods on sale include the usual fruit and vegetables, fish, meat, plus a lot of individual shops and cafes. The cafes give varying tastes of different cultures.

Shops and stalls are varied, selling Arts and Crafts, Antiques, Jewellery, Sweets, Chocolates and Cakes, Books and Records, Cake decorations, Fine ales, and Greetings cards. Flowers, cut and artificial. Pet supplies, Mobility aids. Machine embroidery and laser engraving and cutting. You can even get your push bike serviced while you shop.
